Frontier Falls in Doubleheader Against Wabash Valley

Game 1 – WVC 5, FCC 1
The Bobcats fell to the Warriors 5-1 in the opener at Southwest Park.
WVC got on the board early in the first inning when Danika Dix singled to bring in a run. The Warriors added another in the second on a sacrifice bunt by Olivia Hemmerle to take a 2-0 lead.
Wabash Valley extended its advantage in the third inning, as Mireya Rose doubled to left field and Mara Serafini followed with an RBI single to center, each driving in a run to make it 4-0.
Hemmerle earned the win for WVC, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings while striking out nine and walking one. Lexi Miller took the loss for the Bobcats, going the distance and allowing five runs (four earned) on 10 hits with six strikeouts and one walk.
Alicia Stanley drove in the lone run for FCC, finishing 1-for-2 at the plate. Rylee Hendricks, Hessi Johnson, Kyndall Webb, Riley Baumgart, Harper Holeman, and Stanley each recorded a hit for the Bobcats.
Wabash Valley was led by Easton Wampler, who collected three hits in four at-bats. Serafini, Rose, and Dix each drove in a run, while Selby Patberg added two hits. Kylee Robinson swiped two bases as the Warriors totaled four stolen bases and played error-free defensively, with Dix leading the way with 10 chances in the field.
Game 2 – WVC 7, FCC 0
The Warriors completed the sweep with a 7-0 victory in Game 2, using a four-run sixth inning to pull away.
WVC opened the scoring in the third inning when Ripley Anderson doubled to drive in a run.
Graci Hines picked up the win for the Warriors, tossing a four-hit shutout over seven innings with five strikeouts and two walks. Chloe Papineau took the loss for FCC, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 13 hits while striking out four and walking four in a complete-game effort.
Hessi Johnson, Kyndall Webb, Riley Baumgart, and Peyton Smith each recorded a hit for the Bobcats.
WVC totaled 13 hits in the game, with Allie McAfee, Wampler, Molly Bell, Rose, and Robinson each collecting two hits. Anderson and Robinson each drove in two runs. Wampler and Bell each stole multiple bases as the Warriors added five stolen bases and drew four walks in the win.
