Frontier Baseball took two games Sunday against Shawnee CC in a 12-2, and 10-4 victory extending their winning streak to eight games. Stellar pitching performance came from the Frontier pitching staff combined with timely hitting. After these games the Bobcats are now 26-24 (10-15), they are back in action Monday against Lake Land CC at 2:30 P.M.
Frontier Takes The Game Over Shawnee CC In A Blow-Out Victory, 12-2
Frontier won big over Shawnee CC 12-2 on Sunday. Frontier got things started in the second inning when Jalen Faison (Brooklyn, NY.) singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Frontier put up five runs in the sixth inning. Jalen Faison, Cole Rasbury (Bellville, TX.), Bradley Taylor (Russellville, KY.), and Matthew Espinosa (Fort Worth, TX.) all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Andrew Shoultz (Scurry, TX.) pitched Frontier to victory. He allowed seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Costella led things off on the mound for Shawnee CC. He allowed ten hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out three. #17 and #22 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two-thirds of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.
Frontier totaled 13 hits. Bradley Taylor, Jacob White (Lewisport, KY.), Jalen Faison, and Brody Tisdale (Greenwood, IN.) all collected multiple hits for Frontier. Bradley Taylor led Frontier with four hits in five at bats.
Frontier Sets The Stage For Victory With Early Lead Over Shawnee CC
Frontier grabbed an early lead on its way to a 10-4 victory over Shawnee CC on Sunday. Frontier CC scored on a walk by Laramie Sayles (Midlothian, TX), a single by Jalen Faison, a sacrifice fly by Bradley Taylor, and a walk by Jacob White in the second inning. Frontier earned the victory despite allowing Shawnee CC to score three runs in the first inning. Unterreinel and Pino each had RBIs in the big inning.
Frontier pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Laramie Sayles drew a walk, scoring one run, Starly Hilario (San Juan, PR.) was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Jalen Faison singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs, Bradley Taylor's sac fly scored one run for Frontier, and Jacob White drew a walk, scoring one run.
Jestin Jones (Fort Meyers, FL.) was credited with the victory for Frontier. He surrendered four runs on five hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Brendan Reid (Union, KY.) threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Steward was on the hill for Shawnee CC. He allowed two hits and six runs over one and one-third innings. #7 threw four and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen. Starly Hilario led Frontier with two hits in three at bats. Frontier CC was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Trey Woosley (Breckinridge, KY.) had the most chances in the field with ten.
